We are very pleased to announce that we will be holding our first B2B Compliance seminar in June.

We will be covering a range of subjects designed to give you an in-depth knowledge of the current WEEE regulations and the upcoming changes, with talks from guest speakers as well as the team at B2B Compliance, including project director Mark Sayers, technical manager James Champ and myself, account manager Abbey Fortescue.

Please join us on Thursday 15 June, at the TS Catapult in Milton Keynes, for a great day of learning about these topics:

Data Reporting and Scoping Workshop

We often receive enquiries from members who aren’t sure what category to report into. In this workshop we will give you a tried and tested process to follow for scoping your products correctly, and we’ll also work through specific examples – so please bring along specs of any products you need help with!

Regulatory and policy updates

As you may know, the WEEE regulations will be changing in 2019, both in the way you will report into categories and also moving to class more products as EEE (aka Open Scoping). It is very important you know what these changes will mean to your WEEE compliance so that you can prepare for them.

We will be explaining what these changes may look like, and also opening up discussion about how this will impact your business. We are in constant talks with DEFRA and actively lobby on behalf of our members, so this is a great opportunity to voice your opinion about these changes.

WEEE Collections and commercial updates

We will be talking in-depth about what has been happening in the world of WEEE recycling. How well the market is currently doing, and what the implications will be on your compliance costs (for B2C producers especially). We will also be discussing how our collections service will help you fulfil your waste takeback obligations and what you need to be communicating to your customers.

Other relevant Producer Responsibility regulations

There are very similar regulations in place for packaging and batteries, not just in the UK but also in the rest of the EU. With the Circular Economy Package set to extend responsibilities even further, you need to be aware of what else may impact your business’ compliance.

We will be setting the scene as to how other regulations may affect you, and to give you actionable steps to take to achieve compliance across the board.

ROHS updates

Following a recent poll, we will also be welcoming a guest speaker to be talking about the coming updates to ROHS, as this is also relevant legislation for a lot of our members.

Day Details:

The day will run from 10am to 4pm, with refreshments and lunch included as well as regular breaks. There will be free wifi and a breakout area to work from if you need to, and our team will be available to answer any specific questions you may have around your business’ compliance.

The cost is £145 per person (+VAT), payable upon receipt of registration. If you have any questions about the day, please do contact us on 0845 680 9829.
